Are you ready to learn some computer programming and data management skills? The UC Carpentries Fall 2023 workshop series starts this September, and the classes are open and FREE to all! The workshops will take place over two weeks and will cover foundational R and Python coding, data management practices and tools, automation, and version control. Whether you are a data novice or just looking to brush up on your skills, this series has something for everyone.
The workshop’s virtual sessions take place Monday through Thursday from September 11 through September 21. Each topic will be taught as a standalone session, with the exception of R and Python which take place over two sessions. The R and Python sessions will be led by the UCSF Library Data Science Instructional Designer, Albert Lee and Head of Data Engineering, Geoffrey Boushey. The series is co-hosted and supported by efforts from UCSD, UCLA, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UCSF, UCSB, and UC Berkeley.
You do not want to miss this opportunity to learn new skills from experts and connect with other UC colleagues!
