Turnitin is a web-based plagiarism prevention service that is now integrated to the CLE. Instructors can create assignments to check the originality of a student’s work or use it as an educational tool to teach students how to work with sources and to improve paraphrasing and quoting skills.
Turnitin has three main features:
Similarity Report – a flexible document that provides a summary of matching or similar text in submitted work compared against a huge database of Internet sources, journals and previously submitted work, allowing students and instructors to review matches between a submitted work and the database scanned by Turnitin.
GradeMark – a feature that enables instructors to comment on student papers, point out grammatical mistakes, check student’s performance, and grade assignments.
PeerMark – a peer review assignment tool. Instructors can create and manage assignments that allow students to read, review, and evaluate one or many papers submitted by their classmates.
Turnitin Single Sign on Integration Coming Soon!
