For more than a century, through donor support, UCSF Archives and Special Collections has proudly enhanced the educational environment by purchasing unique materials, organizing exhibits and lectures, restoring artifacts, cataloging manuscript collections, and providing online access to its treasures.

UCSF Archives and Special Collections accepts gifts of books, manuscripts, organizational records, artifacts, photographs, electronic files and other materials that enrich its existing collections, support the educational and research programs of the university, and further its mission.

The UCSF Archives serve as the official repository for selected records, printed and born-digital materials, and memorabilia generated by or about the UCSF — including all four schools, the Graduate Division, and the UCSF Medical Center.

The Adopt-a-book program aims to fund the restoration of 150 books in UC San Francisco’s Rare Book Collection. With your support, these unique materials will remain accessible to researchers and will be preserved for future generations.
