About Caterina

Caterina Agostini is a historian of science and a digital humanities specialist at Indiana University Bloomington. As co-PI on the Chymistry of Isaac Newton and the Thomas Harriot Papers projects, she specializes in reading and encoding early modern scientific texts related to mathematics and alchemy. Her publications include work on Galileo Galilei, Renaissance travelogues, and digital humanities methods. Additionally, she co-chairs the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF), an initiative aimed at making digital images, cultural heritage, and primary sources more accessible to broader audiences.
