Have you ever asked yourself: “How can I engage my students and give them more choice and flexibility?”
Then you may want to consider the HyFlex model which embraces the “flexibility” of online learning. The name “HyFlex” means “hybrid flexible” and is used to describe an adjustable synchronous, or asynchronous learning environment that offers instruction in-person, online or both. Students will have access to meetings and materials and can then choose how much face-to-face class time and online participation they want (or need) as they learn.

The Instructional Design Training Hub or Teaching and Learning Symposium Resource Site host the self-paced course. This training provides educators with an overview of how to design their course using HyFlex instruction. We address potential challenges with the HyFlex model, provide suggestions and include additional resources.
