PubMed@UCSF Alert Services
PURPOSE
Comparison of alert services available for use with PubMed@UCSF.
 
Alert services notify you when new articles appear in PubMed@UCSF that match a search strategy you have developed.
 
There are two principal ways to set up alerts with PubMed@UCSF. You can use
  • -  email alerts from PubMed's My NCBI; or
  • -  establish PubMed RSS feeds.
Comparison of Alert Services
The main difference between these two approaches is that
  • -  you will receive an email on a predetermined schedule (My NCBI email alerts); or
  • -  you will receive alerts to a feed reader that you check whenever you choose (RSS feeds).
